#ThrowbackThursday

Actually I was looking for photos from my dance and theatre time. But this one with my grandpa (on my mother’s side) and me is much better. The photo was taken in May 1988. Unfortunately I could not get to know him properly, because he died when I was 6 and he was the 4 years before heart disease. My grandmother still lives today. But she was also 12 years younger than my grandfather, who served in the news troop before they met in World War II. Then he went to the Deutsche Bahn and was transferred together with his family several times across Germany. Once he even had the chance to be transferred to Paris, together with his family. He had often been there on business trips before, but my family decided against it and stayed in Germany. I would have liked to have got to know him better, because according to what I heard from my mother and grandma, he was a great man.
